Carol Mendelsohn was the Showrunner/Executive Producer on the global hit series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation since the pilot episode. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is among the top-rated scripted drama series on television and the most watched television show in the world. Carol was also Co-Creator/Executive Producer of CSI: New York and Co-Creator/Executive Producer of CSI: Miami.
In 2010, Mendelsohn launched Carol Mendelsohn Productions. The CBS primetime drama The Defenders was the first show to premiere under her banner. Carol Mendelsohn Production’s first primetime reality program, Dogs in the City, premiered on CBS the summer of 2012.
As a producer, Mendelsohn has been nominated for multiple Emmys, WGA Awards, Golden Globes, Producers Guild Awards and the prestigious Edgar Allen Poe Award. Additionally, she is a three-time People’s Choice Award winner.
