Michael Imperioli’s upcoming film credits include The Housewife opposite Naomi Watts, and he will
also be seen in the film Song Sung Blue, starring alongside Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson for director Craig Brewer.
Last Broadway season, Imperioli starred in the Tony-nominated run of Henrik Ibsen’s An Enemy of the People, which was adapted by Amy Herzog and directed by Sam Gold. Prior to that, he starred in the second season of Mike White’s critically acclaimed hit HBO series The White Lotus as Dominic Di Grasso, a role for which he received a 2023 Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Simultaneously, Imperioli reprised his very funny role of Minister Payne in season two of Hulu's series This Fool.
Imperioli starred in Paul Schrader's film Oh Canada, alongside Richard Gere and Uma Thurman, which premiered in Cannes. He was featured in Regina King’s Oscar-nominated film One Night in Miami, after starring in the NBC series Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector. Prior to that, he played Governor Andrew Cuomo in the Showtime miniseries Escape at Dannemora, opposite Patricia Arquette. He also starred in History Channel’s Project Blue Book. And he can be seen in the feature film The Last Full Measure, opposite Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, and the late Christopher Plummer.
Imperioli is best known for his starring role as Christopher Moltisanti in the acclaimed, iconic HBO TV series The Sopranos, which earned him a Best Supporting Actor Emmy Award. He also wrote five episodes of the show and was co-screenwriter of the film Summer of Sam, directed by Spike Lee. Imperioli has appeared in six of Lee’s films and has also acted in films by Martin Scorsese, Abel Ferrara, Walter Hill, Peter Jackson, and the Hughes Brothers.
