With her charismatic and compelling performances, award-winning actress Dania Ramirez has become one of the most highly sought-after performers across film and television.

 

Ramirez most recently starred as ‘Aimee Eden,’ a former therapist who provides a sanctuary for human-animal hybrids on the fantasy drama series “Sweet Tooth.” From executive producer Robert Downey, Jr., the series follows a boy who is half human and half deer as he tries to survive in a post-apocalyptic world with other hybrids.

 

Ramirez’s other television credits include starring as ‘Gretel’ on the series “Tell Me A Story,” ‘Cinderella’ on the popular series “Once Upon A Time…,” “Devious Maids,” “The Sopranos,” “Entourage” and “Heroes.” For her performance in “Heroes,” she won an Imagen Award for Best Supporting Actress and earned two nominations for the American Latino Media Arts Awards (ALMA) in the categories of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Television Series and Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series. Her performance in “Devious Maids” earned her a nomination for Imagen Foundation Awards in the category of Best Television Actress and won her a NAMIC Vision Award in Best Performance – Comedy. She was also nominated for a 2023 Imagen Foundation Award for Best Actress – Drama (Television) for her work in Alert: Missing Persons Unit.

 

In addition to her television work, Ramirez is a film producer and co-produced and starred in the feature film “Lycan.” She also produced and co-starred in the romantic comedy, “Off The Menu.” Ramirez’s other film credits include roles in “Mojave,” “Premium Rush,” “Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay,” “Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle,” “American Reunion,” “Quarantine,” “Fat Albert” and “X-Men: The Last Stand.” She made her feature film debut in Spike Lee’s “The Subway Stories” and subsequently was seen in two additional Spike Lee projects, “25th Hour” and “She Hate Me.”

 

Born in the Dominican Republic, Ramirez was raised by her grandmother until she moved to New York City at the age of ten and reunited with her parents. She studied at Montclair State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and was a star volleyball player.
