Danny Smith began his television career as a writer and on-air personality for the syndicated show “P.M. Magazine,” in Providence, RI.

After relocating to Hollywood, he worked as a stand-up comic and performer at the Groundlings Theatre, before being hired as a writer for “Head of the Class.” He has worked steadily ever since, as a writer and producer on such shows as “3rd Rock from the Sun,” “Yes, Dear,” “Nurses,” “Soul Man,” “In the House,” “Platypus Man,” “The Parent ’Hood,” “Bette” and “The Misadventures of Fiona Plum.”

Hired as one of FAMILY GUY’s original writers in 1998, he has remained a staple of the show’s creative team.
