Josh Segarra is a dynamic and undeniable presence whose talents as an actor on screen and stage are quickly establishing him as the next big thing.
Segarra can currently be seen starring in the new Netflix limited series Sirens, alongside Meghann Fahy, Julianne Moore, and Kevin Bacon. Segarra plays Raymond, the proud manager of a restaurant franchise in Buffalo, New York, and the longtime, on-again, off-again toxic boyfriend of Devon (Fahy).
Segarra also stars in the award-winning ABC series Abbott Elementary. Appearing alongside Quinta Brunson, Segarra plays “Manny,” an employee of the school district. Additionally, he can be seen in Friendship, starring alongside Paul Rudd and Tim Robinson, as well as in the feature film The Threesome, which premiered at the 2025 South by Southwest Film Festival and stars Zoey Deutch.
In 2023, Segarra joined the Scream franchise in the newest installment, Scream 6, starring opposite Courtney Cox, Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barrera. He also starred in the Apple TV+ comedy, The Big Door Prize, opposite Chris O’Dowd. The series, which premiered at SXSW, is based on the best-selling novel of the same name and hails from Schitt’s Creek writer/EP, David West Read, and Segarra plays ‘Giorgio,’ a former hockey player, local celebrity, and the owner of a combination Italian restaurant and sports center who is widely recognized as Deerfield’s most eligible bachelor. Additionally, Segarra appeared in season 2 of the STARZ series Heels as “Brooks Rizzo.” In the spring of 2023, Segarra returned as scene-stealing “Lance” in the third season of the critically acclaimed HBO Max comedy series The Other Two.
In 2022, Segarra joined the Marvel universe and starred in the hit series She-Hulk, alongside Tatiana Maslany, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth and Jameela Jamil. Previously, he starred alongside RuPaul in the Netflix scripted dramedy AJ and the Queen, created by RuPaul and Michael Patrick King. A fan and critic favorite alike, Segarra starred in Season Five of CW’s Arrow as Adrian Chase/Prometheus. He also starred in FOX’s The Moodys opposite Denis Leary and Elizabeth Perkins and Animal Control opposite Joel McHale.
Segarra’s additional television credits include Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black, CW’s Katy Keene and NBC’s Chicago P.D. His film credits include Judd Apatow’s Trainwreck, MGM’s Overboard and the Emmy-nominated Netflix film Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square.
On stage, Segarra originated the role of Emilio Estefan in the Broadway hit musical On Your Feet and he brought the role of Boland to life in Joe Mantello’s Dogfight, with music and lyrics by Pasek & Paul. He also starred and shaped the role of Michelangelo "Mick" Jackson in Lysistrata Jones, written by Douglas Carter Beane.
Segarra is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and currently resides in New York City with his wife and three sons.
