Jean Guerin has been named Executive Vice President, Publicity & Corporate Communications, of Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX).

Guerin will be the chief media strategist for FOX, overseeing all program publicity campaigns and corporate communications outreach. Based in Los Angeles, she will report to Shannon Ryan, Chief Marketing Officer of Fox Television Group.

Guerin joins FOX from Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group, where she was Senior Vice President, Media Relations. Responsible for overseeing all global communications for the company’s film divisions, including Columbia, TriStar, Sony Pictures Animation, Screen Gems, Sony Pictures Acquisitions, Sony Pictures International and the studio’s faith-based label, Affirm. Guerin, who joined Sony in 2014, also led crisis communications, strategic operations, media strategy and awards campaigns for the motion picture group.

Prior to Sony, Guerin spent 14 years with NBC Universal, most recently as Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications for NBCU Cable Entertainment Group. In this role, she oversaw corporate communications, brand positioning and media oversight for the company’s 11 major cable entertainment and lifestyle networks, including USA, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, Syfy and Esquire, as well as its in-house production entities, Universal Cable Productions and Wilshire Studios.

From 2004 to 2012, Guerin was Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications, for USA Network. There, she ran all media oversight and brand leadership during USA’s rapid expansion and seven-year streak of increased viewership as cable’s most-watched network. Additionally, she launched USA’s first-ever branding campaign, Characters Welcome, and its subsequent brand extension initiatives, including the award-winning public affairs campaign, Characters Unite; as well as the network’s first strategic awards program.

Guerin joined NBCUniversal in 2000 as Vice President, Corporate Communications, for Syfy Network, where she managed all press activities for the network’s programming, including its first-ever award-winning miniseries, “Steven Spielberg Presents Taken.”

She began her career at PMK in New York, working on a slate of clients spanning talent, directors, producers and major film and television campaigns, including publicity launches for “The View” and “The Rosie O’Donnell Show.”
