LOS ANGELES, October 2, 2017: Fox Networks Group has today announced that THE GIFTED, will air in more than 183 countries on FOX, the world’s leading entertainment brand, following the show’s U.S. premiere today. The highly anticipated new family series is set in the X-Men universe and is from 20th Century Fox Television in association with Marvel Television.

The day-and-date launch of THE GIFTED across FOX channels internationally is part of Fox Networks Group’s international programming and marketing strategy for viral, high profile series, which includes Legion, The Walking Dead, Prison Break, 24: Legacy and The X-Files.

THE GIFTED tells the emotional story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family seeks help from an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

The series stars Stephen Moyer (“Shots Fired”, “True Blood”), Amy Acker (“Person of Interest”), Natalie Alyn Lind (“Gotham”) and Percy Hynes White (“Night at the Museum 3”) as the Strucker family. Also featured in the series are Sean Teale (“Reign”) as Eclipse/Marcos Diaz; Jamie Chung (“Gotham”) as Blink/Clarice Ferguson; Emma Dumont (“Aquarius”) as Polaris/Lorna Dane; Blair Redford (“Satisfaction”) as Thunderbird/John Proudstar; and Coby Bell (“Burn Notice”) as Sentinel Services Agent Jace Turner.

THE GIFTED is produced by 20th Century Fox Television, in association with Marvel Television. Matt Nix (“Burn Notice”), Bryan Singer (X-Men: Apocalypse), Lauren Shuler Donner (X-Men: Apocalypse, X-Men: Days of Future Past), Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Apocalypse, X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Marvel's Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory serve as executive producers. Nix, who serves as the series' showrunner, wrote the pilot, which was directed by Singer.
