Fox Networks Group Launches New FOX NOW Streaming Experience on iOS, Roku Devices and Android

First TV Everywhere App to Offer Combined Content of FOX, FX and National Geographic

LOS ANGELES – Fox Networks Group (FNG) today announced plans to expand the availability of its new FOX NOW streaming experience on multiple platforms, including launching on iOS immediately, and later this month on Roku® devices and Android. With the new FOX NOW, consumers are able to watch live and on demand entertainment programming, in a truly connected experience, from FOX, FX and National Geographic together for the first time in one app.

The new FOX NOW, which is accessible with a TV provider login, provides viewers with access to up to 500 hours of content across the network brands, as well as a rich movie catalogue of recent hits. The latest episodes and full seasons are available from shows like FOX’s Empire, FX’s The Americans and National Geographic’s Genius.

Unlike previous TVE apps, FOX NOW features full-screen video throughout, providing the immersive look and feel of linear TV while maintaining the power and flexibility of an app. FOX NOW also offers viewers the ability to Restart Live TV, to watch their favorite shows from the beginning. Other new features include a personalized “For You” section as well as curated content grouped by network and genres, which enables viewers to more easily find and discover shows across FNG’s brands. The introduction of Fox Profile offers customized favorites and recommendations, personalized notifications, easy access to next episodes in a series, and continue watching bookmarks, which makes watching a seamless, engaging experience across all devices.

FOX NOW also offers an improved authentication experience using Apple Single Sign-On, which enables viewers to enter their TV provider login details only once per device in order to access their streaming apps.

The new app previously debuted on the 4th generation Apple TV, which was also updated earlier this week, and will continue to expand to additional platforms, including the desktop experience for web on, legacy Apple TV, XBOX gaming consoles, Kindle Fire and Fire TV, later this year.

With over 35 million downloads and support for all of the Top 10 pay-TV providers in the U.S., FOX NOW is available to 97% of pay TV subscribers, representing more than 97 million homes.
