FOX COLLEGE SPORTS TO LAUNCH NEW WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS SHOW: FCS FINAL SCORE
Premiers Sunday, September 2 on FCS Atlantic
New York & Los Angeles -- Are you one of the millions of college sports fans across the country longing for a simple, fast-paced national collegiate sports highlight show? If you are, then FCS FINAL SCORE is for you.
FINAL SCORE which premieres on Sunday, September 2 at 11PM ET on FCS Atlantic will feature a revolving line-up of hosts, ensuring the highlights remain the focus of the show. Hosts will include former FSN West anchor Barry LeBrock.
“We are excited to provide college sports fans exactly what they want – a simple, straight to the point, highlights show,” said Max Casanova, Director of Programming for FCS. “The focus will not be on the anchors, but rather on the sports.”
New FCS FINAL SCORE episodes will air on Sundays on all three FCS channels (Atlantic, Central and Pacific) at 11 PM local time. Repeats will air Monday through Thursday mornings on FCS Atlantic at 7AM ET, FCS Central at 7AM ET and FCS Pacific at 9AM ET.
FCS FINAL SCORE will consist of highlights of the night’s collegiate sporting events, as well as a wrap-up of news items form various collegiate events from around the country. A ticker on the bottom of the screen will provide upcoming FCS programming information and news alerts. FCS FINAL SCORE will close each show with “The Big Moment,” the most valuable highlight or sound bite of the day, as chosen by the show’s producers.
FCS’ College Football Package will be a major part of FCS FINAL SCORE. Other news, such as the BCS rankings, which begin in October, will be a key element of the weekly show. “We will focus the majority of the show on football highlights, but if there is other big college news, such as the BCS Rankings, we will also put that into the show,” said Casanova.
In addition to FCS’ College Football coverage, the FSN College Saturday analysts will do a one-minute segment each show previewing the coming week.
FCS FINAL SCORE, which will be a weekly show during football season, will expand to a bi-weekly show during basketball season. Due to the daily nature of college basketball, a second new episode will be added to the week and will premier on Wednesday nights. The new episodes will premier on all three FCS channels at 11PM local.
